Suing God

Last week, Nebraska State Sen. Ernie Chambers sued God for "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth's inhabitants," according to the Associated Press. It seems that Nebraska is a suitable venue because, Chambers claims, God is everywhere.

Chambers is seeking a permanent injunction against the alleged Almighty.

Chambers told the AP that he's trying to demonstrate how easy it is to file frivolous lawsuits. He's reportedly annoyed by a federal suit filed against a judge who recently barred words such as "rape" and "victim" from a sexual assault trial.

One wonders what words the judge in that trial allowed to describe an alleged sexual assault...
